About Taste of HaitiTaste of Haiti was created by Dan Zeigler in 2010 in an effort to provide support to Haiti after they experienced a catastrophic 7.0 earthquake. Taste of Haiti purchases directly from Haitian vendors in order to promote sustainability by providing jobs for Haitians. The vendors we work with establish long-term relationships with their artists, they provide the dignity of a living wage job to Haitian parents for orphan prevention and replace a system of handouts with a system of enterprise. All proceeds are used to continue purchasing from our vendors. In our Taste of Haiti store in Harleysville, PA, you can find Haitian vanilla, honey, coffee, soaps, cards, stoneware, metal art, jewelry, wooden items, paintings and many other beautifully handcrafted items by Haitian artists.
